Rebuke the `Bad Thoughts`

Guilt, Depression, Anxiety, Hopelessness, Self-Pity, Loneliness, Sadness . . . these are all `junk` that come in the form of bad thoughts. The enemy uses these tricks to make you vulnerable and ultimately try to overtake you.

We`ve talked about the power of positive thinking and that is extremely important. It is also very hard if you have bad thoughts attacking your mind. It`s kind of like a football game [which I know very little about].

The positive thinking is the `offense`; it is a proactive effort for improved mental health. On the other hand, you have to rebuke the bad thoughts in a `defensive` maneuver against the enemy. This is a battle you have to fight with the Word of God! Turn to my reproof, Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. Proverbs 1:23

When you are tired, hungry, over-worked, [most Moms I know fit in at least one of these categories] these are great times for the enemy to whisper things like, `you`re useless`, `you`ll never amount to anything`, `you can`t do that`, `you`re under qualified for that`, `no one really loves you`, `you`ll always be poor`, and that awful list is endless!

We have to stand strong in the Word and in the Love of God and rebuke these bad thoughts! At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away. Psalms 104:7

There are so many day-to-day struggles that we face, and the enemy uses these as entry points. When you gain a few extra pounds, when you don`t get the job you applied for, you notice a new gray hair or wrinkle . . . the first thing that pops in your head is negative! [It`s happened to all of us for one reason or another.] Arm yourself in the Word of God and stand firm in the knowledge that you are a daughter of the Almighty God! "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

He made you for a purpose; He made you special, beautiful, loving, kind ~ HE made you! Sisters, He does NOT make mistakes!

Go look in the mirror, tell yourself how beautiful you are and that you are a conqueror! Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged. Deuteronomy 1:21
